Stair lifts can be customized to fit any type of railing or personal need, right down to the preferred material and color of the user. There are four basic types of stair lifts that can be installed in your home.
Straight Stair Lifts
Straight stair lifts are attached to the railing and are customized with either a fixed or drop down seat, and because they are the easiest to install and require the least amount of customization, they generally are the least expensive.
If your staircase is straight but slightly curves near the top, you can opt for a straight stair lift plus a “bridging platform,” which allows the stair lift to safely reach the landing without having to stop short of it.
Curved Stair Lifts
Curved stair lifts come in all shapes and sizes, and are uniquely customized to fit the specifications of your staircase. If necessary, stair lifts can be installed with a swivel chair, and these can be installed even if your staircase doesn’t already have a railing built in.
Outdoor Stair Lifts
Outdoor stair lifts can be customized the same as straight or curved stair lifts, but are instead made with weather resistant materials and a wide variety of options concerning the colors used and the type of seat. We can even use an existing metal railing as a track so you can save some on your stair lift installation!
Standing Stair Lifts
When a staircase is particularly narrow or the user has trouble bending at the knees, those with the ability to stand up on their own power can opt for a standing stair lift, which affords the user more walking space for guests in between the lift and the opposite railing. Our standing stair lifts come with grab rails to stabilize yourself on the way up.
